Starting Again with Hull Fillets

I’ve finally started proper work again, beginning with fillets in both bow compartments and tidying the stringer finishes. There’s plenty to do before the new timber arrives, so I’d better get on with it.

Starting Again with Hull Fillets

Ok, finally started proper work :) and it seems I still know how to do this.

Today just a slow start to get things organised and going in a proper way - I have still a lot of fillets left to do in this part of the hull. And as they say - start at the beginning, it is a good place to start.

So I started at the beginning. Or rather, at the stems, making fillets in both bow compartments. I have tidied up the finishing of the stringers as well, it seems to look much better that way 😜 next step are bow cabins, then main cabins and further towards the stern. I still have a couple of weeks before timber for stringers and beam throughs arrives (ordered today) but it means I’m going to be busy - during these two weeks I need to not only finish EVERYTHING in the bottom part of the hulls but also prepare the rest of the top bulkheads (if you remember, I cut some of them last year) so as soon as the materials arrive I can start fitting them.

Good times :) #allelectricboat #buildingwharram #theseanation #tiki38
