Standing on Ikaroa’s New Cabin Deck

I’m building the second deck over the main cabin, after correcting a problem with the first one. I’m racing to close the hulls before the workshop gets any colder—or snow arrives.

Standing on Ikaroa’s New Cabin Deck

On top of the boat :)
Still, it is not the highest I’m going to be able to stand, after cabin tops are in place I’ll be able to climb even higher. Full 30 cm (1ft) higher. I never thought I’ll consider this workshop low - but I’m already able to reach to the ceiling.

That’s the second of the decks over the main cabin. I messed up a bit with the first one and still need to correct it - but after teleconference with Hanneke @wharramcatamarans we agreed on necessary changes needed to correct the problem. If you want to know more- soon there will be a detailed post on our coffee page.
Working today on rear parts of the deck and maybe a jig for bow cabins, still racing to close the hulls before it gets any colder (12 degrees in the workshop so far, but they threaten me with news about SNOW (!) in less than two weeks! Not something you want to hear in my situation…
