Un-Messing a Main Cabin Deck Piece
I unmoulded another couple of main cabin deck pieces, and they fit like a glove. I also started correcting the first, flatter piece with cutting, epoxy, a loading strap and 150kg of water.
After a good day of rest in a nice, warm place back to the cold workshop unmoulding another couple of pieces of the main cabin deck. This time nothing messed up (that I so far can see) and they fit like a glove.
Talking about messing up- the piece I made as the first one (and messed up - as I told you) didn’t yield to the pressure of a loading strap and was still much flatter than a properly made one on the other hull. So the stage two of un-messing it was commenced today. That was a lot of cutting and epoxying and applying even more delicate persuasion in a form of a loading strap and some 150kg of water. (See last photo).
Details of fixing this are going to be soon in a video, first on our coffee page but later I may post a shorter version on our YT channel- time to use it! I may be posting some videos from previous works on YT as well as I’m getting back home (not to rest, to work in our office for a change!) so I may edit some stuff. I’ll keep you posted.
We will see tomorrow what effects of these efforts are.
