Plywood Supply Problems, Hull Sides Next

Transport costs forced me to find a new plywood supplier, but I’m back to normal programming. I’ve dry-fitted and epoxied the remaining port-hull sheets, with hull sides and deck work next.

Plywood Supply Problems, Hull Sides Next

Well, couple of complicated days behind us.
As I told you before - I have only 10 sheets of 9mm plywood in the workshop. Enough for a single hull. So it was time to order more. Unfortunately Robbins Timber went mad. Our quote for the transport (transport alone!) for 10 sheets of plywood would add extra £40 to each sheet of plywood- almost 50% extra. Couple of transports like that and we could buy own van to get these materials with some money spare for fuel!
So I had to spend looking for new suppliers for plywood and timber. Thankfully Krister (Tiki 30 Baldur) helped us with that recommending a timber loft nearby and I found a supply of plywood so today we are back to normal programming.
Finished dry-fitting 6 rest sheets on the port hull and epoxied them- chances are I’ll be able to get another layer of epoxy on that before Shabbat. Anyways I’ll finish with that on Sunday so I’ll be fitting some hull sides from Monday. And new plywood comes on Tuesday so I should be able to dry-fit the entire set of hull sides next week and start fitting some. And since I’m getting all the 9mm plywood right now I’ll be able to continue with the deck right after (bow and stern parts of the decks are actually 9mm plywood - sandwiched decks are only between first and last beam).
