Dry-Fitting the Tumblehome Sides
I was apprehensive about dry-fitting the tumblehome sides, but they’re matching across both hulls. I’m rather proud—and still slightly surprised—that I haven’t completely messed it up.
I was a bit apprehensive about this stage, but after an entire day of work yesterday dry-fitting tumble home sides and doing some 3/4 of them already I may say it seems like fun ;)
Definitely uplifting to see that matching a single piece (out of four - two sides of the hull times two hulls) means matching all other pieces which theoretically should be the same. The uplifting part is- they are actually THE SAME 😁
I don’t know why, but more I’m progressing with this work the more of a surprise it is to me! Maybe because to get to this point I had amazingly high number of occasions to completely mess it up and yet - they still match! Not only between two sides of one hull but actually between two hulls. Actually bow cabin pieces are routed using the first piece as a template.
I guess these two hulls are actually vaguely similar 😂
(Yes, if you did not guess till now - I’m rather proud of myself. Yes, I can be both proud and surprised, why not?)
