A Bread Maker for Our Gluten-Free Galley
We’re testing a bread maker for our gluten-free galley, with timed baking and modest power use making fresh bread possible at the boatyard. I just need to remember to switch it on.
For a few days now we play with our latest toy for our #allelectricboat here at The Sea Nation - a bread maker. It is an extremely important thing to us since we have in our team a person who suffers from celiac disease so we have to make sure that we are able to keep our galley completely gluten-free. Baking gluten free bread is a challenge so we need as much help with this task as possible. Our bread maker was chosen mainly on the strength of the gluten-free program but is a joy to use regardless.
Now we have our very own, fresh bread every morning in our boatyard here in Newhaven - provided someone (me!) doesn’t forget to switch it on, like last evening! 13 hour delay is a great feature - we start day at 6 am so we can have fresh bread for breakfast as soon as we arrive to our workshop. Our coffee maker works on timer as well. And in case we forget, the bread bakes in less than 3 hours.
We are testing it thoroughly now to make sure we know how to use it fully. 500W top but that’s only for a short period when actually baking (some 30 minutes) so it is pretty efficient. We will have all statistics for you quite soon - yet another reason for an early purchase.
