There Is No End to Sanding
I’m tidying the stringers, sanding the backbone side battens and filling all those little holes before the hull sides go on. Laminating may offer a brief respite, but more sanding is already waiting afterwards.
Some say, there is an end to sanding. Well, they have never been building a boat, obviously... :)
The next step after tidying up stringers (clue - if you do it properly in the first place, there is not a lot to tidy up afterwards...) is sanding (obviously!) backbone side battens and filling - and sanding again! - all those little holes we made to keep things in place.
And no, we won't finish with sanding then - because right after the next part, fitting the hull sides, we will have to fill and SAND them...
And yes, you guessed - laminating will provide just a very short respite from sanding... (to be continued right after laminating!)
