The art of boatbuilding looks sometimes like a completely pointless exercise.
First, you put a great deal of effort, time and money to create something in the empty space of a workshop, something which at least remotely will resemble a watercraft.
Then, at the first opportunity, you put a lot of effort and time to turn it into sawdust or wood shavings.
Not surprising people think we are mad if the only thing they see is us buying the most expensive timbers only to turn them into a pile of wood chips...
