Straightening the Hull for Stringers

Straightening the Hull for Stringers

Adam is sweet with his unshakable belief that this presumptuous ape with a drill (aka Monika) can build a boat for us. Well, I’m trying 🙂 today short break from filling all the gaps and a change to some woodwork. I have fixed the batten for the stringer which I managed to damage in the middle so it was time to straighten some wobbles on the hull. Effect of me not thinking about stuff I read. If I would think about a passage from Hanneke’s building instructions I would add an extra stringer in the middle all way from bulkhead 2 up to number 6. It would make things so much easier. But as they say - the hindsight is always 20/20.
I didn’t so I need to make sure the hull is a correct shape without wobbles. It worked a treat - so some dry fitting of the stringer on the outside for pleasure and final touches to the shape will happen after I’ll fit these stringers. She starts to look like a boat!
