I Finally Tore Down the Tent Roof

I turned procrastination into something useful and removed the ugly, blackened clear-plastic tent roof. The workshop is now considerably brighter, just in time to make a complete mess before putting everything back.

I Finally Tore Down the Tent Roof

Ok, friendly advice (now they apparently call it “life hack” 🤨) from your part-time life coach: if you are to procrastinate, do something useful!
Code an app, learn new language, read a book about new framework, level up the hull or just tear down this ugly tent roof which was bugging you for last two years (yes, it is so long since we took the tent down…). That way your procrastination might not be productive to the task at hand, like building the boat (hence the term!) but will at least provide some useful results.
Like being able to see…
Yes, I’m not kidding. We have fairly powerful led lamps in this workshop- but recently they seemed a bit dimmed. Also it is very sunny outside but somewhat inside was just dark! No surprise there - as you can see on the photos, the roof of the tent was practically black. Despite being made out of clear plastic…
Now, when the tent roof is gone, it is a lot brighter in…

And I didn’t do it earlier simply because I knew it will make a complete mess- so now I wanted to use the opportunity when I have cleared everything and do it - before I put all my stuff back into use…
