Epoxying the First Wave of Stringers
I’m working through the first wave of epoxying, joining the stringers to the major bulkheads, stem, stern and partition at 30 contact points. I’m also getting ready to launch our electrical shop and wondering what would make a good prize.
Taped wires indicate the bits which are already epoxied to the bulkheads.
There are 30 different points in which this first wave of epoxying in stringers happens. First wave is to epoxy stringers to the major bulkheads, stern and stem. Plus in a starboard hull to the full-size partition.
In total there are 5 major bulkheads- each with 4 contact points except for bulkhead 5 which is only on one side - the other side, mast beam knees, are going to be glued in later - 4 points of contact on stem and stern and 4 on the toilet partition. So the other hull has 4 points less.
Another day or so and it is going to be done 😜
Pretty soon I’ll be launching our little electrical shop, we have quite a few really interesting things in there. From a small, cheap and cheerful 105Ah 12v lithium battery, through 608Ah monsters (not very expensive either!) to high-powered solar panels and folding panels sets. And some galley equipment to top it. In short everything we will be using on our boat made available to you.
So I wonder what would you be most interested in receiving in a prize giving which will be launched together with the site?
