Bulkhead 8 and the Hull Sides
After a few rough days, I’m back working full time. Bulkheads 8 are cut and epoxied for both hulls, with deck-stringer supports underway and hull sides coming next.
Colour me surprised!
The bulkheads 8 are slightly (understated!) different from the plans - but surprisingly they are not different (almost!) from each other…
Few days of pretty rough time with my health (well, felt rubbish) but also few days of rest which seem to do the trick- and now back to working on full time. Finally cut the bulkhead 8 for both hulls, epoxied already, cut wooden supports for the deck stringers (yes, that feels great to work at this level of the hull) and I seem to have still 10 sheets of 9mm ply (not complete - but the 10th has still space for hull side on it!) so hull sides for one hull!
But before I get to that more things are going to be done. I have another four stringers to be done, beam throughs sides cut and laminated, partitions and remaining bulkheads fitted, seats fitted, beam throughs bottoms cut and laminated, beam through sides fitted, beam throughs floors fitted, rest of deck stringers supports fitted.
And that’s only this week 😜😂 so I better get back to work!
Btw, I just noticed that Mark (fixing his Mahi just across the Channel, in Holland) started following this account. Better late than never! 😂 But seriously- jump to his YouTube channel if you want to see what I’m (roughly) going to do in two months time 😜 - and look at his instagram channel @boat.fella
