Biaxial Tape for a Monolithic Cabin
My cabin trunk and nav table are now permanent fixtures. I’ve ordered 100 metres of biaxial tape to fillet and glass the connections, while preparing the cabin roof.
Well, the cabin trunk is already a permanent fixture. Nav table as well 🤗
Biaxial tape ordered and should be on Monday so I can start making fillets and fibreglass all the connections I was so busy doing. It is nice and solid but the idea is to make it a monolith (or as close to it as possible).
For now it is 75mm 300g biaxial tape for all internal topside connections. If you wonder how much is that - I ordered 100m of tape and that might do.
It may not be enough though.
Later all external parts after tidying up will be laminated with 150mm wide biaxial tape.
And for rest of today - preparing the roof of the cabin I’m sitting in right now 😜 fitting end of the week. And hopefully good start to the next on Sunday.
