Making Room for Long Timber

We moved our caravan out of the workshop to clear space for turning the hulls and handling long iroko and timber pieces. Now I can sort the plywood by thickness without shifting a tonne of it every time.

Making Room for Long Timber

How we spent Sunday It’s a lesson on how to use a calendar to your advantage.
We had to move our caravan out of the workshop - to make ourselves less comfortable and more focused, for sure, but that wasn’t the main goal! I need this extra space because as soon as I turn the hulls over I’ll start working on 12 meter long pieces of timber and I simply do not have space in our tent for that! And even before that I have to work on quite big and several meters long pieces of iroko to make “shoes” for our hulls…
In short - the caravan has to go out. So it did. We picked this weekend as there is no one watching us fooling around with the caravan on a leash - they may have had some problem with places we attached this leash to! - and most importantly, there are no cars around either! So we cannot hit anything… (we are quite good in avoiding buildings, but movable objects are different matter!). After long day we achieved our goal - an empty space where I can divide my plywood into different piles (9,12,18 mm) and avoid shifting a tonne of it only to get the right one!
