Finishing the Stern Cabin Fillets
I abandoned my carefully prepared painting plan to finish the fillets in the stern cabin lockers of both hulls. The bow cabin in the port hull can wait, while I slowly get back into the groove of boatbuilding—and warmer mornings.
I had already EVERYTHING prepped for painting. To do all the painting at the same time so I don’t have to touch any paint for weeks to come.
And then, just as I was about to start- a lightbulb moment “maybe I should finish the fillets first?” 😂
So instead of painting busy making fillets in the stern cabin lockers in both hulls, run out of time to do the bow cabin in port hull today so that’s left to do before painting. Funny, how that turns.
Wood for the next stage of the work arrives Monday or Tuesday so I just might be finishing work on the port hull by then. Quite pleased with that- slowly getting into the groove of working on the boat again and it is slowly getting a bit warmer - I mean 6-8 degrees mornings and not 2-3 :) That’s a huge change - I can function normally from 11-12 degrees up and it gets to this level a whole lot faster now.
