Cork Insulation and Condensation in Boats

I’m asking how condensation has affected other Wharram boats, and how people have dealt with it. I’m planning to use a thin layer of cork inside Ikaroa for both insulation and the interior finish.

Well, this time something different - time to ask you a question.

Is condensation a problem in your boats? And if you dealt with it in any way - how?

We at The Sea Nation are planning to use a thin layer of cork as both: means to finish the inside of the boat and also as a layer of insulation inside helping against too much heat getting from the sun drenched sides of the boat (we are not too concerned about cold, we are not planning on sailing in cold waters…).

Video is not ours but our friends from UMA - Kika and Dan had a lot of problems with condensation inside their boat which are now all gone thanks to proper insulation. I thought I will borrow it to illustrate our question :)

So - how the condensation affects/affected your Wharram? And how have you dealt with it?

(Answers: I never had a problem and never bothered about it are absolutely ok, but from my experience rather unlikely… I know our boats are made of wood, so it may not be such of a problem but I thought I’ll ask anyway. Cork goes there anyway so…)
