A Twelve-Metre Stringer, Finally in Place
I wrestled a spectacularly bendy 12-metre stringer into place on my own. With the deck line finally appearing, there are only seven more to go.
Let’s put it this way: it is slightly (and that’s definitely an understatement!) CHALLENGING to manage 12 metres long stringer, which can bend in simply SPECTACULAR way, when you are alone in the workshop.
But it is simply amazing when it is finally in its place and you can see the line of the deck finally appearing literally out of thin air. You see how it rises towards the bow and that makes it worth the effort.
