- Description: I’m getting the backbone parts cut from precious 18 mm Robbins Elite plywood, then moving on to doublers, notches and lower bulkheads. Serious boatbuilding has officially begun.

Part 2 - That’s how we play on Saturday (it is on Youtube right now!)

...or we just started to be serious about this.
In short - we decided to get parts of backbone cut out of 18 mm "holy" plywood (yes, if you would be paying this much for a single sheet of plywood you'd also treat it with utmost respect!) - our Robbins "Elite" marine plywood, each with Lloyd's stamp on it. Should finish it by tomorrow. Next box for our epoxy to keep it nice and cosy and then we start cutting some extra elements for backbones - skeg doublers and keel doublers, both made of 9 mm Elite plywood (only slightly cheaper!). After that Kuba finishes backbone elements (notches for bulkheads and floor bearers, glueing doublers, profiles for skeg and keel) and I'll start working on lower bulkheads (9 mm Elite plywood). That's all next week.
