- Description: I managed to make another neat, tight wood joint with the multitool and jigsaw. The cold and damp slowed down the resin work, but a few degrees made all the difference later.

Small things which made me happy today - it seems I still know how to use a saw (ok, motorised one, on a multitool) and a jigsaw to connect two pieces of wood nice and tight. It seems one on the other side wasn’t just a fluke 😜

Today was bitterly cold for half a day, made me quite miserable as it was just slightly too cold for any resin work - resin with fast hardener works from 4 degrees Celsius but getting it out of the drum when it is so cold is a completely different matter - and it was too damp to paint anything (especially that if I want to paint in one go, I have to deal with fillets first, I still have ones in the bow cabin’s locker left to do!).
Adam can say something about my mood this morning, he is the one who has to cheer me up despite sitting at the computer and working hard…
Fortunately later cleared up so at least I’ve done some woodworking- and in a moment will get some resin out so the battens are properly soaked with resin before fitting tomorrow. It is surprising how much a couple degrees up changes everything!
