- Description: I changed plans, finished the first stringer work and fitted a compact shower tray in the starboard hull. Function won over appearance, as usual, with a small bilge pump tucked underneath.

Ok, a bit different day than expected- as you know I needed to switch my focus from what I planned to do since it required a certain bit in place first.
But that doesn’t mean that I just cut the stringers and went for a walk. Stringers - first part of them - was glued yesterday so early in the morning I could get to another side of them and glue the other ends. I actually finished that before the time I normally start (yes, I get up around 6am but my morning routine is rather complex - coffee, coffee and more coffee, then maybe some breakfast) so I usually start around 8-9am.
This time I put the stringers to the side and I fortunately had a lot of stuff to do in starboard hull. Small stuff but it had to be done before glueing in the partition due to access problems later on.
I have put in the very first bit which is not in the plans and wasn’t designed by Hanneke :) (she would probably design it much nicer - in my case function trumped everything since not a lot of people will see it.
I installed a shower tray. Using the whole bilge for draining the shower seemed a bit wasteful so I made it smaller - actually only under the shower grate. It is probably not visible but the floor of it is lower on the bow side - where it is just wide enough to place the smallest bilge pump I could find (and cheapest one too!). Because these pumps are so cheap we can easily put one each side of the backbone and have them switched on by same switch.
The other bits I needed to install was a piece of fixed floor under the partition and all seat/tops bearers around the partition. One side of the fixed floor is removable panel for access to the bilge storage in the main cabin, the other - shower grate.
Well, it is coming together :)
